Healing draws the right people toward you and makes the wrong ones impossible to keep pretending about.

It draws the right people toward you. That part everybody wants.
It also makes the wrong ones impossible to keep pretending about. The friendship that only calls when it needs something. The parent whose approval arrives attached to a condition. The person at home whose mood the whole house has learned to watch. None of that changes. What changes is that a healed person can finally see it, and can no longer quite explain it away.
That is why so many people stall at the edge of this work. Not because they lack courage. Because underneath they suspect that if they got well, they would have to look at something honestly.
And nobody stays in a hard place because they are weak. People stay because leaving costs something real, and because somewhere very early they learned that this is what love is supposed to feel like. That lesson was taught before they could question it. It can be unlearned.
New Name is eighteen weeks of guided work for people who are ready to find out what they were actually taught about love, and to teach themselves something else.
Four units. Scripture, honest questions, guided writing, a practical exercise and a prayer every week. Take it alone, with your spouse, or with a small group.
The Heart • Naming What You Feel • Fearfully Made • Taking Thoughts Captive. Look honestly at what is inside before trying to change behavior.
The Story You Were Handed • Reading Your Patterns • What You Reach For • The Wrestling • The God of Your Fractures. Where grace gets a foothold.
Breaking the Cycle • When Anger Speaks • Casting Your Anxiety • The Courage to Forgive. The hard middle: cycle, anger, anxiety, release.
Healing Together • Yes and No • Whom You Will Serve • Walking It Out • A New Name. Community, boundaries, values, practice, and a new name.
Before this was ever a school, it was my life. I was the eldest of six. I grew up in the shadow of abandonment and divorce. When my family broke, I believed I was the cause. That guilt brought me to the top of our four story home in Haiti, ready to jump, believing my death could bring my parents back together.
Then I heard the Good Father: Daniel, do not jump, for I have written a plan over your life, and I want your story to bring healing to this generation.
Through honest inner healing, cycles of rejection and abandonment broke, in my life and my family. Married 16 years, father of four, pastor for 15 plus years across three countries. I am not teaching theory. I am offering the road I walked.
This is for you if: you keep managing someone's mood at home, you earn love that should be given, you swore you would never repeat it and caught yourself repeating it, you love God but are not at peace with yourself. Teen to grandparent, single, married, leader, Haitian and Caribbean diaspora and friends of every background. If you want the cycle to end with you, you belong here.
No. This workbook is a guide for reflection, not therapy and not a diagnosis. If things feel heavy or unsafe, tell a trusted person today: a pastor, doctor, counselor, or someone who loves you. In the USA you can call or text 988 at any hour.
One session per week, plus 5 quiet minutes a day. If a week needs two weeks, give it two.
Both. Every shaded box is fillable. Open in a PDF reader and type, then save. Or print and use a pen. Save your file after each session. Your words live on your device, seen by nobody else.
Yes. That is the design. The Talk It Through questions are built for a group, a spouse, or one honest friend. Being known is part of the healing.
Let the cycle end with me, and the blessing begin with me.
I am not the name I was handed. I am who God says I am.
